Why You Are Not Losing Weight?

June 29, 2009  •  6 Comments  •  Uncategorized

So many people constantly ask me, “Why am I not losing weight?”

The answer – You are not losing weight because you are not creating a caloric deficit. You are PERFECTLY in balance. When you want to lose weight, you have to eat LESS calories than your body requires on a daily basis. It’s simple math.

So, to figure out what you are doing wrong, write it down. Yes, yes, yes, I know you have heard me say this before, but the diary is the KEY to your success and to keeping the weight off once you have lost it.

Give it a try.

  1. I have the three month tracker that Weight Watchers puts out, and I take it with me everywhere – when I have something to eat, I write it down. Am I perfect every day (in what I eat!) heck no, I’m human – but you’ll find a detailed list of everything I eat every day. I’ve been using it since May 1, and I love it.

  2. And that’s the right way to use that tracker. I applaud you for being honest with yourself and not expecting perfection. NONE of us is perfect with our eating/exercise habits, but we can improve on what we do on a daily basis.

  3. so true!
also Jim, correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the key word CONSISTENCY? people like to think that you only need to watch the calories WHILE you lose weight. but the calories have to be watched ALL THE TIME in order for the weight to fall off and STAY off. It has to be for a lifetime…

  5. I just wanted to know how you feel about the Lemon Juice, Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper Cleanse that is supposed to get rid of the body’s tozins and rev up the metabolism. No matter how much water I drink, I still feel bloated.

  6. Joyce:

All the research points to the fact that the liver and lymphatic system remove toxins from the body all the time.

But, that being said, you might feel good going on the cleanse, or you might try to make the Heartland Soup that is in Energy Surge as I use it all the time when i feel bloated and it totally gets the job done.

Let me know what you decide.
