People need to take responsibility for their own health, their own finances, their own actions. The government does not need to run our lives!!!!!! My parents and most of our familiies eat lots of organic foods and my mom's motto is: "Pay now or pay later. " Meaning... pay for good food now or pay for a doctor bill later. Well, with Universal Health Care- I guess it won't matter. We'll be paying ALL the time- for those who don't have to work for their healthcare. The government needs to better regulate the crap food (Full of fructose, sodium, additives and preservatives) that gets put on the market instead of try to control our lives. AMEN!!!! It was a great day when my insurance company started recognizing the value of well office visits and the like to be more proactive regarding preventative medicine. I have always been a proponent of maintaining my immune system rather than treating illness. My incentive for this is feeling good! I like being my own "body boss." I don't want the government interfering with my body, but I admit I do like the various smoking bans and would love to see trans fats banned next. Why is it that people don't understand that healthy habits would lead to healthy bodies?!! Please keep spreading the word! Jim, I couldn’t agree with you more!
