It’s already happening.

I just ran into the grocery store and there were samples E V E R Y W H E R E.

Please stay away from those temptations.

And don’t go to the store hungry in the first place.

Good luck.

  1. hi jim… question for you… i am fine eating during the day and am a rockstar at counting calories, however, once night-time hits (6pm, after the gym), i have a really hard time with portion control. would it be okay if i ate frozen meals (amy’s organic) until i get into the swing of things with reducing calories, portion control, etc.? i love some of those meals, but worry that i shouldn’t eat “carbs at night”, etc. If it’s in a controlled portion, is a frozen meal of ravioli, etc. that bad? i know i should watch the sodium in those meals, so it wouldn’t be a daily occurence, just every so often. please let me know your thoughts on frozen meals and if they can help/hinder weight loss. thanks.

  2. I don’t mind portion controlled meals at all, but just watch the protein, fat and sodium content. You know I am a fan of protein at every meal, and these days, I believe in it even more.

Let me know how it goes.

  3. great. thanks. how many grams of protein should i aim for in every meal/snack? i always have it at every meal, i’m just not sure i’m having enough. for snacks, i usually have about 6-10 grams (yogurt, nuts, string cheese), but my meals vary.

  4. In general, for a moderately active woman, I would shoot for 1/2 your body weight in grams of protein, spread out between your meals and snacks.

For a very active woman, I would up that to 3/4s of our body weight.

So, a 150 moderately active woman would shoot for 75 grams of protein.

An active 150 pound woman would shoot for 112.5 grams of protein.

Hope that clears this up for you and Liz, I love how you continue to want to learn and progress your plan.
