Marion:

I TOTALLY remember you. Glad that you saw the segment and have a wonderful time on the cruise. Just be careful with your eating and make sure to exercise everyday. I remember you trying more of the strength training in the club. Keep that up!

Laurie:

You MUST eat before you workout, so have half of your breakfast then and the other half after.

Laurie:

I like the vegetables to go slightly cooked for the broth. I do drink it both hot and cold and am now addicted to it.

Let me know how everything else is going.

We were shipmates on Crystal where you presented fabulous lectures. I just saw you on GMA with Diane Sawyer. I look forward to purchasing your latest book. We're leaving on a Crystal cruise in six weeks, Rome to London. I hope you'll be on board again. Warm regards, Marion

Laurie:

If you are working out in the morning, then eat half your breakfast before your workout and the other half after. That way, you save your snacks for later.

Jim, This question has to do with the food eaten before and after working out. I understand the concept but I am wondering about my calories for the day.

If I use my snack items to eat before and after exercise won't I be starving later in the day?

I am not sure how to work to work these extra foods in and still have calories spread throughout the day. I am planning to exercise in the morning so I will also be eating breakfast about an hour after working out.

Any thoughts on how to make best use of the calories eaten around exercise? Thanks!

You can eat the broth any way.

I drink it cold all the time after I make it.

You can TOTALLY eat the veggies raw and get the same benefits.

Laurie, ask questions anytime....

Just saw a segment on this topic on the Sunday Morning show. Yes, it starts with taking care of ourselves.

Sorry to go off topic but I have a question about the Bieler's Broth recipe in your new book, "The 7 Day Energy Surge."

Do you have to put the veggies in a blender after heating or can you just eat the broth similar to soup?

Also, if one does blend it, is it served hot or can it be drank cold too?

Could I just eat the veggies raw and get the same benefit or does it have to be boiled and simmered?

Thanks for replying!
