The girls are debating if you can be fit and overweight.
Almost every bit of research says NO! Sure, you may not have:
High Blood Pressure
High Cholesterol or
High Blood Sugar…..YET!
But odds are you will as you get older.
Look at morbidly obese Paula Deen. She was able to abuse her body for years, but now her luck has run out and, as I keep saying, Paula is over 65 so you and I are paying for her medication via medicare AND she is making money as a spokesperson for a diabetes drug. That’s the only reason she came clean with the disease.
Honestly, if you are overweight, and I mean more than 20 pounds, then your risk of disease, including certain cancers, is up. That’s the fact.
If you are overweight but do exercise, I say good for you. Just know that weight loss still needs to be your ultimate goal for ultimate, long-term health.
