The Dreadful “Move”

April 19, 2010  •  2 Comments  •  Uncategorized

Sorry I have been out of touch.

I just closed on a new place on Thursday and moved on Friday.

A few thoughts on moving:

1. You burn a LOT of calories as I was on my feet all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Today, my body aches, but I can tell I dropped a few pounds.

2. A fresh start is a great feeling, but moving the a horrible experience. I hope to leave this apartment feet first.

3. Throw out clutter. I think Peter Walsh is right (he’s Oprah’s clutter guy), living in clutter literally clutters up your thinking. I love how clean and spartan the new place is and will keep it that way.

Off to Atlanta tomorrow for the day, so will be in touch.

  1. Love Peter Walsh… He also has a book about the correclation between removing clutter and dropping pounds. He writes that, as you said, removing clutter clears up your mind and helps you to get rid of stress. When you get organized, you can organize your kitchen and your grocery lists and be healthier. Its true… when I’m organized, I notice that I eat better. When the house is a mess, all I want to do is order take out and sit in the livingroom, avoiding the kitchen. If you can keep it organized, you’re on track!
Good luck in your new place Jim! Hope you keep clutter-free!!
