Totally agree Davinda and you have to stay right with what you are doing to KEEP the weight off. Most people make the mistake of going back to their old habits and that will result with the weight coming back on.

Jim,
I do agree with this article. I have spent YEARS doing hours of cardio and wondered why the weight never really came off and stayed off. Cardio does get the weight off but you have to do so much of it that its just unrealistic to spend so much time at the gym on a treadmill AND of course you risk injury. the huge amount of running on the treadmill has caused me to have severe knee pain.

Now, i go to the gym 3-4 times a week (i used to go 5-6 times) i do an hour each time, but only 30 mins of cardio and 30 mins of weight and i watch the calories. i have between 1100-1200 a day. this is hard but it works. i have come to realise that it is the food intake which really counts when it comes to weightloss. As a result i have gone from 164lbs to 140lbs this year.
