President’s Day Weekend – Do You Plan On Celebrating WIth Food

February 18, 2011  •  6 Comments  •  Uncategorized

ANOTHER holiday.

First we had “The Holidays.”

Then Super Bowl Sunday.

Then Valentine’s Day.

Now, a 4-Day Weekend.

PLEASE don’t sit home eating and celebrating some presidents who died centuries ago.

Instead, exercise everyday and make smart food choices.

Good luck.

Jim

  2. Never heard of a 4-day weekend for Presidents Day. Whoever gets the extra Friday or Tuesday, please speak up. Anyway, saw Oprah today featuring the parents of sextuplets who said they had trouble getting pregnant in their 20s and turned to fertility treatment. Well … I’m pretty sure that young couple’s trouble was due to their morbid obesity, especially the woman’s. When she couldn’t get pregnant, she should have tried dropping a hundred or two pounds first and getting healthy instead of taking fertility drugs, and the doctors who participated should be sued for malpractice. Those obese parents will probably raise six obese kids and drop dead before they become grandparents. And to think they got rewarded with a $250K Wal-Mart gift card.

  4. Liz:

You CAN diet and breast feed. I would aim for 1,500 cals.

  5. Sara:

TOTALLY agree with you. Did you know that when a woman is 175 pounds, she should only gain 10 pounds when pregnant and then she weighs 200 pounds, NOTHING.

As for fertility, you are dead on. The moment you go over a BMI of 25, your fertility plummets and at 30, it’s all but dead. She is obese and will most likely raise obese children. Shame.
