This from USA Today. Nanci Hellmich, who has written about me a number of times, wrote this piece with the title:
Stay Fuller, Longer With Protein & Fiber
New research (which isn’t really that new) shows you will feel full longer and may get less hungry throughout the day if your first meal has protein rich foods, such as eggs, Greek yogurt, low-fat diary products or lean meat and fiber-filled fare, such as whole-wheat breads, whole grain cereals, fruit and vegetables.
She reports that a meal needs to be 300-500 calories, which is EXACTLY what I have written in my new book that comes out December 27, 2011.
This research was from Heather Leidy, an assistant proessor of nutrition at the University of Missouri.
