I didn't want a table as I was much more interested in explaining what my program was about rather than just showing food.

Also, Whoopi fell off the wagon with us as she really has bad eating habits (she is up at least 15 pounds from when she stopped with us) and doesn't put much effort into her exercise. You know, she's a big star. It's her call. I just know we could do great work with her. Maybe sometime in the future...

How is it that you ended up with the smallest table on The View, and Jorge got three of them? Also, is Whoopie no longer doing your program?

I think they weren't craving foods since they were not always around. Think back at gas stations when I first started to drive. They carried cigarettes, gum, candy and maybe some soda. NOW, there is a full service grocery store awaiting you every time you walk in to pay for gas with cookies, muffins, popcorn and tons of liquid calories.

We know from research that we eat with our eyes. That, in my opinion, is a huge reason why Americans are so overweight.

If they ate less and moved more (and also didn't have to have a water bottle with them 24/7), why weren't they constantly craving more like so many of us are today? It really makes a person wonder about changes in agriculture the past 30-40 years that have affected the makeup and nutritional value of our food. Our ancestors were somehow actually satisfied with what they ate, whereas we in the new millennium are rarely satisfied no matter what we eat.

I don't agree with the full fat foods as many of them are loaded in saturated fat.

Now, I also don't like fat-free foods as they don't tip satiety mechanisms, as in they don't make you feel physically or mentally full.

But, I do agree that our parents and grandparents ate these foods and didn't have the weight issues many people suffer from today. I believe that is because they simply ate less TOTAL calories and moved around much much more than we do today.

Why are we being told now that we need full fat, better fat, more fat to manage our insulin and other hormones? My grandparents, parents and I (as a child) didn't seem to have a problem with real butter and whole milk when those were the norm.
