I’ve been in and out of Southern, California this past week.
It is MUCH easier to eat a low calorie here than it is in Chicago.
All you have to do is stay away from ALL chain restaurants, and the vast majority of them serve the bigger portions with higher calories.
PLUS, you do get more organic food and the prices are NOT that much higher since they must buy it in buik.
My favorites are Cafe R & D in Newport, Beach, Beachwood in Venice and Villa Blanca in Beverly Hills, to name a few. Oh, and Madonna’s brother’s restaurant, Ciccone’s (sp?) is also great in West Hollywood.
