Bad Weight Loss Advice
My firm was buzzing today about a very well known weight loss expert who said you should weigh yourself once….a month.
WRONG!
Get on the scale everyday. It’s the key long term success.

I am becoming more and more convinced that our obesity epidemic is primarily due to lack of actual nutrition in our food. Not only have I started seeing this message more in the media, but it really makes sense with the increasing and long-term corruption of our food supply.
We are all basically trying to get more nutrition by eating more, but since most food is void of nutrients, we are never satisfied. Add to that all the additives and substances that disrupt our natural hormones, and it’s a real losing battle.
I recently started working with a nutrition/health coach who has me on some medical grade products and supplements, and wow, it has been so much easier to eat on plan, moderate servings, and resist crap because I feel like I’m truly being nourished. Kind of like the the good old days when I didn’t think about food all the time or need to graze all day long, and could take or leave a “treat” or have just a small portion without fighting cravings.

Jim, I do agree every day is probably the best bet but I do find that my weight fluctuates 2 lbs. on any given day, which sometimes can be frustrating. It’s not from over eating, 99% of the time it’s water retention but I need to constantly remind myself of that or it gets me down. Sometimes I find I’m better of every other day. Just started 4 weeks, 5 days a week of “boot camp” and have lost 6 lbs. to date. 2 days of core and 3 days of weights, upper & lower body higher intensity exercising, no running but lots of “boot camp” like exercising. It’s 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 a.m. each morning and I need NO alarm clock to get out of bed at 4:30 a.m. to be there for 5:30! I feel 200% better and just started week 3 today. Thinking I will sign up for another 4 weeks when this is done!! We are outside in the church parking lot, over looking Lake Winnipesaukee as the sun rises, life doesn’t get much better than that at 5:30!!!
