Another Blow to Steady State Aerobics – The Heart

June 28, 2011  •  0 Comments  •  Uncategorized

Today’s “Wall Street Journal” reports that interval training strengthens heart patients more effectively than a traditional (useless!!!), continuous moderate workout.

Now this is intense, as in exercise at 85-95% of maximum heart rate, followed by periods of moderate activity in the 70% range.

My experience is that most people don’t even get to the moderate range, because we believe taking a stroll is going to do SOMETHING for our heart and our weight.

Once again, wrong.

You know, I’ve taken an inordinate amount of heat for my “Cardio-Free” theory, yet every time I open up a trade journal, magazine or newspaper, it seems that more and more research is supporting my theory.

Are you on board with me???
