More Reason To Pound Protein At Breakfast

This from Dr. Oz:

Digesting protein takes up to 7 times more energy than digesting carbs or fat. Try making a dozen hard-boiled eggs on Sunday, and eat 1-2 each day.

I, personally, eat 2 eggs each and every day, and FYI, my cholesterol is fine.

Michelle Obama Back At Fighting Weight

Okay, I got a LOT of flack when I blogged that our First Lady packed on a few pounds, especially given her “Let’s Move” initiative dedicated to reversing childhood obesity.

Well, since I called her out when she gained weight, I’d like to congratulate her on her recent weight loss.

I was watching footage of her meeting the Olympic athletes in London the past few days and she SO clearly is back at her Inauguration weight.

I say a huge “congrats” to her as she is clearly dealing with:

1. Menopause, given her age.

2. Sleep deprivation – come on, First Lady in this day and age and,

3. Increased stress – same reason as point 2.

This should be motivational to anyone struggling with weight. If she can do it, given the schedule demands, travel, entertainment, daughters, The President, etc., when you and I can too.

Keep living lean Michelle and inspire us all!
