And fortunately, they just keep coming:

This is the best diet/life-style change book I have ever come across! Jim Karas really understands the needs of petite women and clearly takes us step by step through a very easy and delicious new way of eating. I HIGHLY recommend this book to all petites who have been searching for the right approach to losing weight. I’m eating more than I ever have. I’m never hungry and people have told me they could see the difference within one week! This is a MUST gift to yourself. It will change your life!

Bad Fitness Training

April 19, 2012  •  2 Comments  •  Uncategorized

I’m in San Francisco for a speech and a meeting and went to two different gyms to check out what going on.

I was seriously appalled by the training that I observed. Trainers were having clients perform exercises that we KNOW are terribly damaging to your body. One of them is the reverse tricep pushup, with your feet on the ground and your palms on a bench as you dip your gluts to the floor and up. It’s horrible for your shoulder and puts incredible strain you many muscles of your upper body.

If you are using a trainer, please think to yourself “Is he/she giving me new exercises? Is he/she going to continuing education? Is he/she providing me with much more than the same exercises day in and day out?

If any of the answers to these questions is “yes,” then it’s time to find a new trainer.

We stay on our staff like crazy and insist they attend our continuing education seminars, attend outside seminars and read up on the latest and greatest in fitness, nutrition, psychology, etc.

Good luck finding a good trainer. Unfortunately, they are sometimes hard to find.

Another Great Petite Success Story

April 17, 2012  •  0 Comments  •  Uncategorized

I just wanted to tell you I got your book “The Petite Advantage Diet” and it has helped me move sooooo far the plateau I was at. I’m 5″ and it’s been difficult as I am on the brink of 40 in two months. I was brainwashed to think cardio was the answer, but in my early 20’s I had the opportunity to be mentored by some professional weighlifters at the gym and I learned how to strength train properly. With your advice, I went back to my roots of weight lifting and have saw such amazing results. I have no more lovehandles!!!! My diet was healthy, but I did move my breakfast to be the larger, lunch medium, and small dinner. Those two changes have made a HUGE difference. I’m going to be having my 40th birthday June 19th and I am going to be in the most fierce shape I’ve ever been in. Thanks so much for the information!!!!!

More Cleanse Crap

April 10, 2012  •  0 Comments  •  Uncategorized

It just keep happening, like another installment of “Scream.”

Women get convinced that a cleanse it the answer, then they lose ALL THEIR MUSCLE, their metabolism goes down, and their weight skyrockets back up. I see it AND I fix it all the time in Chicago and New York.

Please don’t do it. My emails are all about cleanses and women keep doing it.

Our metabolic detox, which we ship all over the country, is different as it’s meal replacement PLUS, you must strength train or we don’t want you to do it. My women are shedding tons of fat and keeping it off.

Give it a try. Just don’t do other cleanses.

Jim

Please Read This And Decide Which One Wins In You

April 4, 2012  •  0 Comments  •  Uncategorized

An old Cherokee told his grandson, “My child, there are two wolves inside of every man, battling one another every day.

“One wolf is evil. He is weakness, inferiority, ego, laziness, and entitlement.

The other is good. He is strength, hard work, self-reliance, and humility.”

The boy thought about this for a long while, then asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?”

The old man replied, “The one you feed.”

Amazing Success Story

April 3, 2012  •  2 Comments  •  Uncategorized

This just in:

“I am one of your new biggest converts in Michigan! I started your diet and exercise program in the book in January, am 54, 5′0″ and now weigh about 110. I was shooting for my high school weight of 112. I usually try to weigh under 120, fight and never get under 115. I started in Jan. at about 125. I have lost 15 pounds and don’t really want to lose more. I need to adjust to my new body! I haven’t weighed this little since I remember! Some days I am at 108! Egads! So anyway, 1)Thank you for changing my life! I feel spectacular, 2) I am lately feeling like I have night cravings again. I didn’t for quite a while but now it is almost every night and I don’t want to start that again. Do you have any suggestions of what to do if I get night cravings? That has been my problem through the years.
I am spreading the word here about the diet. Many are asking me about it now because I look so “little” What fun!”
