Once Again, The Calorie Is King
This from the University Of California, Berkeley Wellness Letter:
“According to a large study in the New England Journal of Medicine, more than 800 overweight people were assigned to diets with various proportions of fat, carbs and protein. They were all urged to cut 750 calories a day and exercise 90 minutes a week (which is what I urge you to do in both “The 7-Day Energy Surge” and “The Cardio-Free Diet.”
After 6 months, all groups lost an average of 13 pounds and after 2 years, most kept off 7.
It should be noted that the participants all received frequent counseling sessions.”
So, once again, counting calories is what gets the job done when it comes to weight loss.
