While working on a project for ABC’s Good Morning America, Jim had the opportunity to meet Diane Sawyer.  Through that project, Jim urged Diane to start her own fitness and weight loss program, which she did with Jim’s help starting in January 2001.

Well, the rest is history – Diane lost 25 pounds, got in the best shape of her life and with that success, Jim opened Jim Karas Personal Training in New York. In addition to Diane Sawyer, the firm has worked with actors Hugh Jackman (Jim got him in top form for XMen 3: The Last Stand), recent Academy Award® winner Rachel Weisz, Candace Bergen, Emma Thompson and many others.

New York is a different city, but the same formula for success works in New York as it has in Chicago for the past 20 years. Simply put, we attract, educate and motivate the finest group of fitness professionals to provide you a convenient, yet effective, fitness and weight loss solution.
